STUDIO BIO
My life has been entwined with music, starting with my mother who was a music teacher. After years of piano lessons I taught myself guitar. I have written over 100 songs, many of which I still perform.
I made my first recording in 1968.
I keep my studio small, tight, and to the point. I do recording, editing, mixing, mastering, duplicating, all related artwork and text. I use Pro Tools.
I have been to the top of the Capitol Records building in CA. I have played at the World's Fair with a 12 piece band. I have played in Central Park, and Notre Dame, in redneck bars, and around many campfires. I have logged a lot of miles on an old bus, waist deep in music gear. My wife has been the manager of an independent music label and has booked musical acts up and down the coast.
Music is what it's all about. Knowing that through music you have a direct, invisible line of connection to the universe, keeps hope alive. Music is a compulsion, an obligation, and our sanity. A gift to us and through us.
Right now my rates are $30 per hr. I sometimes charge less, depending on the circumstances. I am willing to discuss case by case.
I am quick and efficient at track upon track recording, and live recording. Most of my clients are single acts and duos, rappers putting lyrics over beats, cowboys, vets, and disgruntled youth.
